Friday 19 September:
CBC 9PM (9:30PM Newfoundland) - 4th Series Premiere!
SciFi Channel UK http://www.scifi.co.uk has a 3 day Bank Holiday weekend marathon of classic Doctor Who (23 to 25 August) right now, which implies a new home for Classic Doctor Who in the UK as autumn approaches. No Doctor Who episodes on SciFi UK in September or October - hmm.
SciFi Channel Netherlands http://www.scifi-tv.nl has obtained the first run rights to Series 3 of Doctor Who for the Netherlands. A 2 episode premiere with the 1965 Peter Cushing Dalek movie begin airing on the channel on 16 September, with many same week repeats. 1 episode per week thereafter. Series 2 premiered on Nederland 2.
Channel Jimmy in Italy http://www.jimmy140.it now has some September schedules up, with Doctor Who (Series 3) airing all month. We had been waiting for word as there were reports the channel could be going away.
CANADA - BBC Kids http://www.bbckids.ca does not have Classic Doctor
Who or the Sarah Jane Adventures in the fall 2008 schedule. This is
the first time Doctor Who has been absent since the channel's launch
in 2001. Hopefully we can get word from BBC Kids whether the shows
will return in 2009. In particular - will BBC Kids air Sarah Jane
Adventures Series 2? For now, Doctor Who and Sarah Jane air through
at least the 14th of September ...
CANADA - Ztele http://www.ztele.com does not have Doctor Who (new or reruns) in the fall schedule. Odds are Series 4 will air sometime in 2009. Time will tell. Torchwood fans should look in the Torchwood This Week column to be ready for that show's return later in the fall.
UK - BBC One http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcone begins a repeat run of the
Sarah Jane Adventures Sunday 31 August at 2PM BST (3:40PM BBC One
Scotland). The 5 Series 1 schedules are expected to air in omnibus
format weekly. Series 2 is expected in late September on BBC One and
CBBC.
UK - BBC Three http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree is suspending their repeat run of Doctor Who after 28 August, replacing it with a weeknight double header of The Real Hustle. No reason is known for the schedule change (Doctor Who episodes were scheduled for 31 August to 4 September at one point). UKTV Gold will end their weekday run of Series 1 and 2 episodes on Tuesday 9 September, with erratic airings of a few episodes on weekends to finish the month.
Torchwood schedule information is included in the Torchwood This Week
column http://groups.yahoo.com/group/torchwood . Of note - the radio
episode Lost Souls will air on BBC Radio 4 on 10 September in the
Afternoon Play spot.

is offered for free with commercials. See the website to determine if
your provider may offer this service. Based on the paucity of
information on the episodes airing, I guess they want you to get the
service before you know what you will be seeing.

Torchwood, or Sarah Jane Adventures. New episodes ever 2 weeks or so.

(The Mysterious Planet) are explored, in the runup to the DVD
release. At the time this episode came out, The Trial Of A Time Lord
was due for UK DVD release in August 2008 and the next 3 podcasts
would also cover aspects of this season long saga. Trial has now been
postponed till October, a point that will presumably be mentioned in
Tin Dog #68.

Cliff and Stephanie Ravenscraft review Doctor Who episodes on a

skipping Voyage Of The Damned for now and focusing on the
Doctor/Donna episodes.
GSPN.tv is a network of podcasts on TV shows, daily life, religion,
and other issues that interest the 3 Ravenscrafts. Doctor Who Fan
Podcast becomes one of the pay programs in the network starting with
episode 12. The existing paying audience ranked Doctor Who dead last
in their interests (annoying the hosts who want to do the show but
are living off the revenue from their podcasts). If you subscribe to
their podcasts in order to hear the new Doctor Who episodes, be sure
to alert them that you are doing this. Half the episodes expected to
be free, half paid.
Tachyon TV http://www.tachyon-tv.co.uk
Note to Tachyon guys - the brand new episode on iTunes turned out to
be 1.2, an episode made in Fall 2007. Surreal choice. Thought you'd
like to know - especially if you did not tell iTunes to post it.

right after the show finishes.
22 August episode - Doctor Who/Torchwood chat in the last half hour
(just past the 90 minute mark on the recording). The breaking news of

the Torchwood radio episode, the questions being raised over CBC's
committment to Who, and record ratings for Australia.
TV Talk on hiatus for the next week due to the host being at the
Democratic National Convention in Denver, so no new Doctor Who
segments while there are no episodes.
